Investigative journalist and cybercrime expert who digs into what really happens after you're hacked. Reports for the BBC, Channel 4 and the Sunday Times.
Investigative Journalist / Author
Geoff White is a British investigative journalist and author who has spent more than a decade reporting on the collision of organised crime and technology: cybercrime, fraud and money laundering. He served as technology correspondent for Channel 4 News, where he created the Data Baby project exposing the hidden trade in personal data, and his work now appears across the BBC, Channel 4 and the Sunday Times.
He is the author of three acclaimed books, Crime Dot Com, The Lazarus Heist and Rinsed, and co-presented the chart-topping BBC World Service podcast The Lazarus Heist, which was nominated for a Peabody Award.
Having interviewed fraudsters, money launderers and even North Korean spies the world over, Geoff has a rare gift for translating the shadowy economics of digital crime into plain, practical terms: cutting through the jargon to show ordinary people and businesses how the criminals really operate, and how to stay a step ahead.
